Small Steps for one Team, giant leaps for STEAM
Our history goes back to 2004 when a group of industrial professionals launched Precision Zone in Wheeling, IL to offer advanced industrial electronics repair services. Over time, Precision Zone expanded its manufacturing capabilities and in 2015 started fabrication of custom products for a number of global industrial brands. The new tooling and new approaches to product development and fabrication exposed the engineering and production teams at Precision Zone to the challenges and benefits of applying modern automation and robotic tooling in a variety of manufacturing applications.
Like any manufacturing company, Precision Zone had to develop efficient ways of training its staff in modern and emerging technologies. As channel partners of Yaskawa, Cognex, Keyence, SMC, and other global industrial brands, we have had access to the most advanced robotic and automation products on the market. While integrating robots into various production applications, we accumulated unique experience, methodology, and skill sets.
We always had a passion for learning and education. While observing the challenges of the modern industrial training programs at all levels of education, we have realized that Precision Zone has a rare blend of backgrounds, experience, know-how, and industry partnerships that would improve the quality of industrial training. That was when we started developing our training programs, which included both the knowledge and the tooling. We have been passionate about this new direction and realized that our solutions could benefit a much wider audience, including schools, colleges, and the industry.
We launched GennFlex in April 2021 as a separate entity with the sole focus on developing robotics and automation training solutions that include the required hardware, teaching aids, course curricula, instructor training, and certification.
